Billy Ray Griffin

Billy Ray Griffin, 85, of Port Acres, died Saturday, December 02, 2017. He was born on October 30, 1932, in Rosepine, Louisiana, to Ola Agnes Blakenship and William Arnold Griffin.

Survivors include his daughter, Sheila Arnold and her husband, Byron, of Port Neches; grandsons, Mike Stansbury and his wife, Melissa, of Groves and Chris Sturgis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Alex, Cameron, and Layla Stansbury; brother, Robin Griffin and his wife, Gloria, of Kountze; nieces, Mary Ann Cain and her husband, Lanny, of Kountze; Debbie Headrick and her husband, Jeff, of Lumberton; and Pam Devillier and her husband, Dean, of Winnie; nephews, Robbie Griffin, Jr. of China; Billy Joe Griffin and his wife, Danielle, of Buna; Steve Griffin and his wife, Dana, of Lumberton; step-daughter, Lisa Gautreaux of Port Arthur; and step-grandchildren, Tasha and Rebecca.

He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-five years, Ida Mae Hebert Griffin; his parents; and brother, Herman Dale Griffin.

A gathering of Mr. Griffin’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Broussard’s, Nederland. His interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., Rosepine Cemetery, Rosepine, Louisiana.
