Catherine Genna White

Catherine Genna White, 90, of Beaumont, died Monday, December 4, 2017, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born in DeRidder, Louisiana, to Geneva Fieda and Rosario Genna, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont. Catherine retired as a ticket agent from Continental Trailways and Greyhound after thirty-six years of employment.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Ann Rivenbark and her husband, Bill, of Nederland; son, Mitchell Joseph White, of Beaumont; sister, Antoinette Mire, of Morgan City, Louisiana; grandchildren, Patrick Grandchampt and Derek Grandchampt and his fiancée, Shayla Verrette; great-grandchildren, Serenity Grandchampt, Gabriel Grandchampt, Allison Hazlip, and Abel Hubler.

Catherine is preceded in death by her brothers, Reverend Anthony Genna, Vincent Genna, and Nicholas Genna.

A gathering of Ms White’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 4445 Avenue A, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
