Elese Cuniff

Elese Cuniff, 82, of Little Rock Arkansas, and formerly of Honey Island, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on November 20, 1934, in Honey Island, to Effie Jones Gibson and Emory Gibson.

Elese was a factory worker by trade. She loved working crossword puzzles and recording VHS movies. She worked for years on bus ministry, picking up kids and family for church. Elese loved Billy Graham but most of all, she loved spoiling her family with gifts of love from her giving heart. Elese was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Turner and Anita Cuniff, both of Hatfield, Arkansas; sister, Ethel Overstreet of Kountze; four grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Effie and Emory Gibson; daughter, Kathy Turner; and two sisters, Edith Stolle and Ella V. Miller.

A gathering of Mrs. Cuniff’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2017, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  Her funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Williams Cemetery, Hillister.
