James Wallace Smart

James Wallace Smart, 67, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He was born on June 2, 1950, in Kountze, to Missy Jones Smart and James Rufus Smart. 

Survivors include his wife, Joanie Smart; children, Stephanie Ryan and her husband, Patrick, of Silsbee; and Shannon Smart and his wife, Amy, of Kountze; grandchildren, Taylor Byrum and his wife, Christa; Hagen Langston; Brady Ryan; and Abigayle Ryan, all of Silsbee; and Abbygail Smart and Rylan Smart, both of Kountze; great-grandchild, Hadlee Byrum; and brother, J.E. Smart and his wife, Margaret, of Spurger. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Smart’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Frank’s Branch Cemetery, Fred.
