Jewel Mae Webb

August 5, 1920 - October 14, 2017

Jewel Mae “Judy” Robinson Crumpler Webb, 97, of Winnie, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was born on August 5, 1920, in Dayton, Texas, to parents Joseph and Helen Robinson.

Mrs. Webb was the most caring and loving person to her family and others. She was always willing to lend a hand to help anyone. Mrs. Webb loved to talk and visit with people. She never met a stranger. Mrs. Webb was an exceptional cook and baker including wedding cakes and other specialties. She was an expert seamstress making garments and did alterations for both her uncles’ dry-cleaning businesses in Baytown.

After graduating high school, Mrs. Webb worked for Holbrook and Graves Construction, then later for Neuman Motors (Desoto and Plymouth dealership) in Dayton. She worked in the ship yard in Orange during World War II. Mrs. Webb was the Dayton High School secretary and later an aide for the district. She retired as a special education aide from Hamshire-Fannett Independent School District.

Mrs. Webb was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Winnie-Stowell. She was also a member of the Dayton Pioneer Student Association in which she attended every school reunion, including her 79th reunion this year.

Mrs. Webb is survived by her son, Milton Crumpler and his wife, Sandy, of Houston; daughter, Cindy LeBlanc and her husband, Erwin, of Winnie; grandchildren, Matthew Crumpler, Christopher Crumpler, Shannon Duncan, Krista LeBlanc, Tanner LeBlanc, and Tye LeBlanc.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale Webb; husband Bruce Crumpler; and brothers, J.W. “Bo” Robinson and Haden Robinson.

A gathering of Mrs. Webb’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 1708 SH-124, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 1708 SH-124, Winnie, with interment at 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Park Cemetery, Dayton. Services are under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
