Michael Comstock
Michael “Mikey” Vernon Comstock, 55, of Lumberton, died Thursday, October 12, 2017. He was born on March 13, 1962, in Ontario, California, to Virginia Brancacio Comstock and Frank Comstock. He attended schools in Southern California and later joined the United States Marine Corps where he served as a military policeman.
After receiving an Honorable Discharge, Michael relocated his family to Texas where he retired in 2016 after a successful career with the Bureau of Prisons. Michael was always proud of his military service and enjoyed the camaraderie he shared with them and the law enforcement community. Michael had a special love for his wife, Jennifer, and his family. They were both members of the Blue Iron Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; daughters, Savannah Comstock and Sophia Comstock; mother, Virginia Comstock of California; brothers, John Comstock and his wife, Cindy, of Georgia and George Comstock and his wife, Stephanie, of Oregon; sister, Deborah King-Biggs and her husband, Dennis, of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family members. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Bethany Comstock.
A gathering of Michael’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Broussard’s 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2017, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 LHS Drive, Lumberton, with his interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
