Odessa Beatrice “Nan” Vickrey

Odessa Beatrice “Nan” Vickrey, 97, of Nederland, died Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was born on July 13, 1920, in Comanche, TX to Ada Binnicker Little and John Little.

Odessa faithfully attended Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a member of The United Methodist Women’s Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Kennedy and her husband, Clifford, of Nederland; son, Johnny L. Vickrey, Sr. and his wife, Janell of China; grandchildren, Danny Kennedy and his wife, Meritta; Richard Kennedy and his wife, Diane; Debra Jones and her husband, Brian, Johnny L. Vickrey, Jr. and his fiancée, Rhonda Minter; and Joseph Vickrey and his wife, Nicole, great-grandchildren, Daniel Kennedy, and his wife, Heather; Stephen Wilson; Derek Wilson and his wife, Lauren; Brianne Jones; Austin Jones; Bryce Vickrey; Brendan Minter; Colten Minter; Madison Vickrey; and McKenzie Vickrey; great-great grandchildren, Makenzie, Ethan, Macy, and Makayla Yarnold and Haydin and Jaxson Kennedy; and sister, Sue Loudermilk and her husband, Bob, of Seymour.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

A gathering of Ms. Vickrey’s family and friends will begin 9:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
