Alton Earl Foxworth, 93, of Sour Lake, died Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He was born on July 30, 1924, to Myrtie Grimes Foxworth and Alfred Earl Foxworth, in Chester. Alton retired after forty years at Gulf Pipeline. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and lived by the three F’s: Faith, Family, and Friends.

Survivors include his wife, Aline Foxworth; daughters, Glynda Minick and her husband, Glen, of Vidor and Diane Maggio of Sour Lake; sister, Lorene Phillips of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Eva Foxworth of Woodville; grandchildren, Alton Lee Minick; Amanda Minick Eason and her husband, Karl, Jr.; and Nikki Maggio Andrepont and her husband, Chris; and great-grandchildren, Shelby Eason, Devan Eason, Drake Andrepont, and Ford Andrepont.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, O.Z. Foxworth and Bobby Foxworth; sister, Falby Jewel; and son-in-law, John H. Maggio.

A gathering of Mr. Foxworth’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 7, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at First Baptist Church, 765 6th Street, Sour Lake, with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Sour Lake.
