Betty Sanders

Betty Sanders, 81, of Winnie, died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Christus St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on February 6, 1936, in Tyler, to Ruby York McCoy and Charlie McCoy.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by daughters, Sue Layton and her husband, Tom, of Arlington; and Sandra Aucoin and her husband, Glenn, of Winnie; son, Billy Cox and his wife, Connie, of Anahuac; grandchildren, David Layton of Arlington, Kristy Alexander of Tyler, Casey Love of Austin and Bree Aucoin of Winnie; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, Ruby and Charlie McCoy; daughter, Kim Roxburgh; brother, Doug McCoy; and cousin, Mozelle “Mazie” Nicholson.

A gathering of Mrs. Sanders’ family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2015 at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017 at Mount Zion Cemetery, FM 346 East and CR 122, Tyler, Texas.
