Carl Elvin Bottoms

Carl Elvin Bottoms, 96, of Winnie, died Sunday, July 9, 2017, at The Arboretum of Winnie. He was born on January 28, 1921, in Donie, to Veda Martin Bottoms and Thomas Elvin Bottoms, and had served in the United States Army Air Corps. . He was also a proud member of the Winnie-Stowell Lodge # 1377 AF&AM Masonic Lodge.

Carl is survived by his daughters, Glenda Rogers and her husband, Bobby, of Beaumont; Karen Thompson and her husband, Danny, of Winnie; and Norma Lambert and her husband, Hal, of Winnie; son, Carlton Bottoms and his wife, Rosa, of San Antonio; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years, Gladys M. Cole Bottoms; his parents; daughter, Claudia Jackson; four brothers; and one sister.

A private family committal for Mr. Bottoms will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers Drive, Beaumont.
