Darvin L. Revia

June 15, 1945 - November 2, 2017

Darvin L. Revia, 72, passed away on November 2, 2017. He was born in Beaumont, Texas to Archie L. and Vera Revia on June 15, 1945.

Darvin is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jean Merryman Revia, of Winnie; daughter, Lisa Revia Carley and her husband, Tony, of Houston; son, Gary Revia and his wife, Jan, of Winnie; granddaughters, Brittnie Bagwell Plessala and her husband, Joey, of Winnie; and Michele Carley, of Houston; great-grandchildren, Quinten Zavala, of Winnie; and Reese and Preslee Plessala, of Groves; sister, Donna Mooney, of Winnie; brother-in-law, Don Merryman, of Beaumont; niece, Christy Rudisill McAdams, of Winnie; grandnieces, Marli and Cassie McAdams, of Winnie; and Aunt, Gladys Bouse, of Winnie.

He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oscar and Doris Oleta Merryman.

Darvin and Norma Jean were married fifty-three years on October 1, 2017. He worked for Newtron, Inc. for over thirty years before retiring. Darvin passed away while visiting his Aunt Gladys Bouse, in Winnie.

Darvin made a positive impact on many people’s lives. He never met a stranger and was loved by all. He had a generous heart and spent his retirement days helping people, no matter the need.

A gathering of Mr. Revia’s family and friends will be 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 6, 2017, with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 117 Van Ostrand Street, Stowell, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church – Stowell, 117 Van Ostrand Street, Stowell, Texas 77661.
