Fred “Freddy” Burrell III

Fred “Freddy” Burrell, III, 65, of Winnie, died September 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 18, 1951 in Winshire, to Verna Elisabeth Phelps Burrell and Fred “Doodle Bug” Burrell, Jr. He had been a lifelong resident of the Winnie area, and was a retired pipeline inspector.

Survived by his wife, Judy Stanley Burrell, of Winnie; daughter, Misti Stewart and her husband, Billy, of Weleetka, Oklahoma; son, Michael Burrell and his wife, Marilyn, of Winnie; grandchildren, Shaye Burrell, Jacob Stewart, Eryn Stewart, Tyler Stewart, Danica Burrell and Connor Burrell, all of Winnie; brother, Bobby Burrell and his wife, Donna, of Winnie; and beloved furbabies, Ali and Whiskey, who were better kids than his own kids.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Burrell’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2017, followed by his funeral at 10:00 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, 1708 SH 124, Winnie. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
