Jordan David Wilkins

Jordan David “J.D.” Wilkins, 59, of Evadale, died Monday, July 3, 2017. He was born on April 20, 1958, in Hearne, to Lois Eiland Wilkins and David Lee Wilkins.  J.D. worked as an electrical supervisor at WestRock in Evadale.  He was employed by the paper mill for thirty-eight years and was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Silsbee.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Wilkins; children, Jason Wilkins and his wife, Leslie and Holli Farias and her husband, Roy, all of Evadale; grandchildren, Paxson Farias and Jase Wilkins; mother, Lois Wilkins of Gause; sisters, Beverly Nigliazzo and her husband, Johnny, of Hearne; Kay Rachui and her husband, Steve, and Diana Choates and her husband, Robert, all of La Porte; and Jennifer Wilkins of Canyon Lake; aunt, Wanda Sue Coats and her husband, Alfred, of Gause; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rose and Troyce Taylor of Evadale; sisters-in-law, Paula Dunigan and her husband, Joe, of Evadale, and Phyllis “Fefe” Austin and her spouse, Gary Sibley (deceased), of Flower Mound; brother-in-law, Sonny Taylor and his wife, Erin, of Lumberton; and sister-in-law, Amanda McLaughlin and her husband, Jason, of Flower Mound; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He his preceded in death by his father.

A gathering of J.D.’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2017, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 1190 North 11th Street, Silsbee, with his interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
