Kathryn “Kaite” Neumann

September 26, 1932 - November 19, 2017

Kathryn Alyse Ramsby was born on September 26, 1932, in Rome City, Indiana to Howard and Mabel Ramsby. She was raised on a farm in rural Indiana with two brothers and three sisters and she was the youngest of the children. Katie was outgoing and was a cheerleader in her high school years.

She married Wallace “Wally” Neumann on September 30, 1950, just after her eighteenth birthday. Their first home was a basement apartment located in Wolcottville, IN. Wally and Katie moved to Chicago for Wally to complete his degree at DeVry Technical Institute. Her first son, Barry Neumann was born on October 9, 1958, while they lived in Fort Worth, TX. Her second son, Brian Neumann was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 30, 1967. She held various jobs as bank teller in the locations they were living, until she took a position as bookkeeper at Clear Creek High School in League City, Texas. She retired with twenty-one years of service in 1997. That same year Wally and Katie moved to Wildwood, Texas, where they lived out their retirement years.

During her retirement, she stayed busy with Pinochle club, Bridge club, Domino club and Home and Garden club as well as volunteering at Faith Christian Center in Silsbee. Katie also helped with her granddaughter, Kimberly Neumann as needed. In later years, she devotedly watched after Wally until his passing on May 19, 2014, after sixty-three years of marriage.

Katie will always be remembered as a strong and mighty prayer warrior and a great encourager. She always seemed to have a scripture for any situation you were facing or going through. (Pity parties were not allowed) she always maintained a good healthy prayer list consisting of family and friends all of which she sincerely loved and cared about. There is no way of truly knowing how many lives she has touched and influenced through her life, love and prayers.

On November 19, 2017, Katie received the ultimate promotion, to a place in heaven, where she now has total freedom, where it’s always party time and her and dad can dance together on the streets of gold.

Survivors include her children, Barry Howard Neumann and his wife, Andrea Sue, of Humble and Brian Neumann and his wife, Tammy; and granddaughter, Kimberly Neumann, all of Wildwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents; husband of sixty-three years, Wallace Roger Neumann; two brothers; and three sisters.

A gathering of Mrs. Neumann’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Wildwood-Village Mills United Methodist Church, 5943 FM 3063, Village Mills.
