Lena ann Credeur
Lena Ann Credeur, 80, of Winnie, died Monday, July 3, 2017. She was born September 29, 1936, in Beaumont, to Lucille Seymour Breaux and Ernest Murphy Breaux. She was a longtime resident of the Winnie area, and was a retired daycare operator, of “Granny’s Daycare”, in Stowell, for over twenty-five years. Lena was also active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Winnie-Stowell Volunteer Fire Department.
Survived by son, Rusty Credeur and his wife, Kim, of Winnie; daughter, Melinda Bass and her husband, James, of Mont Belvieu; daughter-in-law, Mindy Credeur, of Winnie; sister, Helen Marie Menard, of Youngsville, Louisiana; grandchildren, Ashton Hebert, Ryan Credeur, Taylor Bass, Emily Credeur and Braeden Credeur; great-grandchildren, Kaslea Baldridge, Kaydince Hebert, Kailie Hebert and Ryelynn Credeur; sister-in-laws, Marietta Credeur, of Winnie and Pam Credeur Bryant and her husband, Gary, of Beaumont Colony; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Claude Joseph Credeur; parents; son, Randy Credeur; brothers, John Lee Breaux, Lenward Breaux and Wilbert Breaux; and sister, Ida Mae Daigle.
A gathering of Mrs. Credeur’s family and friends was Friday, July 7, 2017, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service was held Saturday, July 8, 2017, at First United Methodist Church of Winnie, 1708 SH 124, Winnie, under the direction of Broussard’s, with interment that followed at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
