MAry Ann Johnson

Mary Ann Johnson, 76, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on January 14, 1941, to Mary Kathryn Cooper Carver and Bearden Guill Carver, in Nashville, Tennessee. Mary Ann was very talented at cooking, knitting, sewing, oil painting, and pencil drawing. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her family dearly and everyone loved her.

Survivors include her husband, James Michael “Mike” Johnson; children, Michael Linn Goforth, Sr. of Sherman and Suzanne Michelle Scholten and her husband, Lance, of Beaumont; children by marriage, Amy Michelle Lattimore and her husband, Mark, of Matthews, North Carolina; Shannon Wayne Johnson and his wife, Estella, of Gastonia, North Carolina; and Jennifer Dawn Laughlin and her husband, Geoff, of North Carolina; sister, Sidney Mahan and her husband, John, of Georgia; grandchildren, Renea Roberson Ivey and her husband, Glen, of Cordova, Tennessee; Michael Linn Goforth, Jr. of Sherman; and Matthew Goforth and his wife, Lucy, of Georgia; one great-grandchild, Enid Ivey; ten grandchildren by marriage; and five great-grandchildren by marriage, all of North Carolina.  

Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
