misty evans

May 24, 1981 - July 16, 2017

Misty Lynn Evans, went to be with her heavenly father Sunday July 16, 2017, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont, from complications from liver failure while awaiting a transplant.

Misty was born May 24, 1981, in Valencia, California, to Chuck and Deborah Millar. She moved to Florida at the age of 18 where she met her future husband, Joe Evans. They married and along with Joe came Alohna Joleah, his daughter who Misty immediately considered her own. They were then blessed with the birth of Jordynn Olivia. Soon after they moved to Valencia, California, to be near her family. But after five months, Jensen convinced them to become Texans and they moved to Beaumont in the spring of 2006. Denver Nicollette, arrived later that year and their precious family was complete.

Misty was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, niece and friend. She loved life with a passion and everyone that met Misty instantly loved her. What people loved most about Misty was her wit and humor. Throughout her life, she had many hardships thrown in her path but she learned to face them with strength and courage. And it was through those trials Misty coped because of that humor and wit. The family always told her she needed to be a standup comic. She could always make everybody around her crack up with the many stories she would tell about herself and her family. But most important Misty found that she could conquer whatever was thrown her way with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at her side.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Evans; and three daughters, Alonha, Jordynn, and Denver Evans; father, Charles J. Millar; mother, Deborah Cottrell; her brother, Kevin Millar and his wife, Jeana. and their children, Kashten, Kylie, Kanyon, and Karis Millar; brothers, Jensen Millar, CJ Millar, Casey Millar and his son, Jax; sister-in-law, Elaine Henderson; aunts and uncles, Carrie and Wayne Nordhagen, Cheryl and Joe Cosand, Jack and Stacey Uhey; cousins Jennie Nordhagen, Anna and Nate McAfee, and their children, Tatum and Tessa, Jessica Nordhagen, Maddie Uhey, Katie and Kenneth McRae, and their children, Liam, Olivia, Lucie and Elizabeth, and Emily Cook, and her children, Sirius and Trevin.

She is proceeded in death by her brother, David Matthew Neal; Fraternal grandparents, Richard and Greta Millar; Maternal grandparents, Jack and Charlotte Huey.

A gathering of Mrs. Evan’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2017, at Broussard’s, with Mr. Forest Hamilton, officiating. A private family committal will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to the LDH Foundation for Youth to be placed in an account for her girl’s college fund, at PO Box 7795, Beaumont, Texas 77726 or to The American Liver Foundation https://alfevents.org/make-a-donation/.
