Muriel Williams
Muriel Williams, 85, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017. She was born on January 25, 1932, in Rotherham, England, to Gladys Metcalfe Caseldine and Ernest Caseldine.
Mrs. Williams resided in Lumberton for forty-three years. She was a lifelong Jehovah’s Witness. At the age of 18, she began serving as a full time missionary in her hometown of Rotherham, England in 1950. After marrying her husband, H. John Williams, she moved to New York, New York, where she continued to encourage Bible reading and education until her death. This education work was her ministry and that of her husband’s as they traveled worldwide in his secular employment as an Inspection Engineer for The American Bureau of Shipping Company. Mr. Williams died in 1997 and Mrs. Williams continued to live in Lumberton, where she attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in Silsbee.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband.
Mrs. Williams’ funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
