Shirly Mae Porter

Shirly Mae Porter, 84, of Beaumont, died Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Pine Arbor, Silsbee. She was born on May 24, 1933, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Myrtle Rodriguez Roberts and Wilfred Stanford Roberts, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont.

Shirly is survived by her sons, Eddie Shook and his wife, Sibyl, of Many, Louisiana and Paul Shook, of Buna; sister, Marilyn DeBacco and her husband, Gary, of Denham Springs, Louisiana; brother, Dale Roberts and his wife, Beverly, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Harrison Shook, Sr.; son, Chris Shook; and daughter, Alane Carley.

A memorial service for Ms. Porter will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A private family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
