Susan elizabeth cummins

Susan Eidson Cummins, 79, of Nederland, died Monday, July 3, 2017, in Houston.  She was born on February 28, 1938, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Elizabeth Sanders Eidson and Harold Eidson.  She spent her entire childhood and young life in Conway, Arkansas, before marrying and moving to Nederland, which was her home for over 50 years.

Susan was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.  She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Nederland and led a bible study as well as participated on numerous committees.

Survivors include her son, John Cummins and his wife, Kelly, of Missouri City; daughter, Elizabeth Moore and her husband, Wayne, of Kingwood; grandchildren Katherine and Andrew Moore and Timothy and Alan Cummins; brother, Harold Eidson, Jr., of Georgetown; sister, Carolyn Eidson, of Conway, Arkansas; and sister-in-law Sue Hassell, of Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Harold Cummins.

A gathering of Mrs. Cummins’ family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.  Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
