Anna Weatherford

Anna Lee Weatherford, 93, of Nederland, died Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. She was born November 5, 1925, in Morris, Oklahoma, to Maude Harbison Landrey and Fred Landrey.

Survivors include her daughters, Vicki Sistrunk and her husband, Dennis and Sue Jordan and her husband Victor, all of Nederland; grandchildren, Joe Bass and Erin Higginbotham and her husband, Andrew; great-grandchildren, Sam Bass and Riley and Jessie Higginbotham; brother, Floyd Landrey and his wife, Wanda, of Kingwood; and sister, Dorothy Reyes and her husband, Louis, of Spring.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam Edward Weatherford; and sister, Ricca Nelson.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Phyllis Laurent for the wonderful care she gave our mother.

A gathering of Mrs. Weatherford’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

    I was so sad to learn of Anna Lee's demise. Anna Lee and Sam were such wonderful people. and so much fun to be around. I remember that every time you saw them they had huge smiles on their faces. Anna Lee and Sam were some of the first people I became friends with when I started square dancing in 1971. My most heartfelt condolences to all of her family.
