Arthur “Bubba” Lee Goodeaux

Arthur “Bubba” Lee Goodeaux, 60, of China, died Friday, November 3, 2017. He was born on October 31, 1957, to Billie Sue Nixon Goodeaux and Arthur Lee Goodeaux, Sr., in Beaumont. Bubba graduated from Hardin-Jefferson High School in 1976. He was a member of the China Hunting Club, played Beep Baseball, and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. Bubba retired from Lamar University as a groundskeeper.

Survivors include his mother, Billie Sue Goodeaux of China; sister, Sue Hamilton and her husband, David, of Beaumont; brother, Paul Goodeaux and his wife, Kim and sister, Ginger Payne and her husband, John, all of China; and brother, Michael Goodeaux and his wife, Jennifer, of Beaumont; eight nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur L. Goodeaux, Sr. and great-nephew, Cooper Wayne Ballinger.

A gathering of Mr. Goodeaux’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 6, 2017, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at China Cemetery, China.
