Barbara “Kitty” Katherine Boykin Andress, 64, of Lumberton, died Monday, February 22, 2021. She was born on December 4, 1956, to Barbara “Bobbie” Alice Penry and John David Boykin, in Beaumont.

Survivors include her daughter, Amy Racca and her fiancé, Barry Blanchet of Lumberton; son, Kevin Andress and his wife, Ashley, of Simpsonville, South Carolina; brothers, Charles “Butchie” Boykin of Beaumont and William “Bubba” Boykin of Woodville; and grandchildren, Jayda Racca, Troy Andress, Johnathan Andress, and Maddox Andress.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Cheryl Boykin.

A gathering of Ms. Andress’ family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her cremation will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.

    Kitty and I were twirlers together at FHS. I have not seen her for many years but I will always have fond memories of her. Rest In Peace Kitty!

    So many memories come to mind... swimming trips to New Braunfels, camping trips to Rayburn, ski trips to Angelfire... Kitty was one of the first people I met after moving to Beaumont and meeting my husband Gary. She was a part of many of our activities with friends and family for many years. I remember that Kitty liked to plan things, especially if they related to her beloved French High Buffalos. I remember many good times with her in attendance. She will be missed by many...
