Betty C. Hammett

Betty C. Hammett, 90, a lifelong resident in the Beaumont area, died January 3, 2020.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at Brookdale Dowlen Oaks for showing Betty and the family all their love and comfort for the last 3 years. We would also like to thank CIMA Hospice for the great care given Betty in the last months of her life.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Leon Galloway Hammett; her son, Bruce Hammett of Sour Lake and her daughter, Carol Hammett Davis and husband, Mike, of Spring, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Trinity United Methodist Church, 3430 Harrison Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77706, where Betty and Galloway were founding members.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 10, 2020, in the Chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3430 Harrison Avenue, Beaumont.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
