Betty Eckert
Betty E. Eckert, 92, of China died Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on November 18, 1925, to Willa Mae Levingston Hartzog and L.W. Hartzog in Orange, TX. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was an avid sewer for her family and herself for many years. Betty also enjoyed working in her garden and going fishing at the Cut on Bolivar Peninsula. Betty also enjoyed cooking and hosting family events. Betty loved having her family gather in her home on the Holidays.
Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Ladner of Katy; son, Alvin “Boogie” Eckert of Beaumont; grandchildren, Mondie Eckert McFaddin and her husband Michael of Austin; Misti Ladner Simms and her husband Scott of Denton; Kent Ladner and his wife J.J. of Katy; along with six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother and her loving husband Alvin Eckert.
Her cremation arrangements are being handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 7415 Eastex Plaza Drive Suite 3 Beaumont, Texas 77708.
