Betty Joyce Renken

Betty Joyce Renken, 81, of Kountze, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at The Heights of Tomball. She was born on March 8, 1936, in Camden, to Jewel Pearline Landrum and Thomas Arthur Herrington.

Survivors include her children, Bernard Renken, Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Waller and Thomas Renken and his wife, Paula, of LaVernia; grandchildren, Melissa Crosby and her husband, Josh; Bernard “Spoede” Renken III, and Rhonda Pittman and her husband, Luther; and great-grandchildren, Mason Roebuck, Kamryn Crosby, Jackson Crosby, Emily Renken, Laney Darling, Nickolas Pittman, Roxanne Pittman, and Colton Pittman.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Bernard “Slim” Renken.

A gathering of Mrs. Renken’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 12. 2017, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
