Bradon Craigen

March 11, 1998 - August 10, 2019

United States Army Specialist, Bradon Edward Craigen, 21, of Fannett, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019. He was born on March 11, 1998, to Sarah Makin Craigen and Chad Craigen.

Bradon grew up in Fannett and was a 2016 graduate of Hamshire-Fannett High School. Immediately after graduation, he joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Polk in Leesville, Louisiana, as a Military Police Officer. Bradon was a dedicated soldier and was honored to have had the opportunity to serve alongside so many great men and women whom became his brothers and sisters in arms.

Bradon was a loving and giving son, husband, father, and friend. He never met a stranger and always had a smile that would brighten up a room. He enjoyed off-roading, a wide genre of music, talking about what his next plans were for his truck, or just hanging out. He was a true friend to many and was always there to lend a helping hand and just listen. His contagious laugh will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kaitlan Keenon Craigen; son, Marshal Lee Craigen; parents, Sarah and Chad Craigen; and sisters, Brittlyn and Baileigh Craigen, all of Fannett; grandparents, Diana and Edward Lee Craigen Jr.; Clinton Daigle; and Chris Makin; great-grandparents, Nelda and A.G. Loftin; and numerous relatives and friends.

Bradon is preceded in death by his grandmother, Virginia “Ginny” Daigle; and grandfather, A.S. “Sonny” Makin.

A gathering of Bradon’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2019, with his funeral service to follow, at 1:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His interment will follow, at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.

Please join the Craigen family at the First Baptist Church, 25304 Highway 124, Hamshire, for food and fellowship upon your return from the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mission 22, 17040 Pilkington Road, Suite 200, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035.

I would give anything to see Bradon’s big, contagious smile. Bradon & I’s memories go all the way back to daycare. One of Bradon’s favorite stories to tell of our friendship was one day we were on the bus ride home and he had cologne & I kept smelling it and got a little ditsy off of it and then the bus driver slammed on their breaks. Me being as small as I am & not prepared for the stop slipped off the bus seat and onto the floor under the seat in front of me. Bradon & I laughed until their were tears rolling down our face. Ever since that day anytime we saw each other he brought up that story. Bradon was such a genuine guy and I always knew no matter where life took us he would also be a call away and would drop anything if I needed him to. I’m so incredibly thankful I got to grow up with a guy like him & this world will never be the same without him.

I will always remember you by having a smile every time I would see you in class, lunch, and hallways. I also remember that you would get in trouble and still smiling. You would make fun of me because of my ascent. You would imitate my voice. I could say a lot. I just wish I would’ve been there for you like you did in High School. I promise you will be missed but never forgotten. Love you Bradon.

You will always be my favorite first friend. No one else I could imagine eating pizza with, have given me my first dip, or pull me out of a ditch when I got my truck stuck while skipping school. I could go on and on but I'll wait until I see you again. I miss you buddy. It's a forever party.
