Brent Eubanks

September 8, 1960 - April 28, 2021

Brent Eubanks, 60, of Nederland, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021. He was born September 8, 1960, in Port Arthur, to Jessie Ann Heath Eubanks and Clesson F. Eubanks. Brent was an eighteen-year veteran of the Texas Air National Guard.

Brent was an adventurous person that enjoyed an array of unique hobbies. He was a fisherman; an amateur biologist; a botanist; a beekeeper; an artist; and a writer. He also had a passion for cooking. Above all, Brent enjoyed taking care of his wife, Lisa.

Survivors include his parents, Ann Eubanks and Bill Reynolds, of Salado, Texas; siblings, Roz Simmons and husband, Kent, of Dripping Springs, Texas and Todd Eubanks, of Carrollton, Texas; seven nieces, a great-nephew, and a great-niece; and stepsisters, Debbie Rice; Donna Hodge; and Danna Gallegos.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Doornbos Eubanks and father, Clesson F. Eubanks.

A gathering of Brent’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his memorial service at 2:00 pm., Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His cremation arrangements were handled by Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Southeast Texas, P.O. Box 1629, Beaumont, Texas 77704.

    I didn’t know Mr. Eubanks.

    I had been searching locally for a 5 gallon glass carboy and stumbled upon an estate sell advertising glass carboys. Among other various wine making equipment, I came into possession of a blue binder filled with wine recipes, and in that binder I found a receipt with his name on it.

    I also came into possession of 2 different brews he was never fully able to enjoy.

    They are by far, some of the most flavorful alcoholic drinks I have ever had the pleasure of consuming.

    I am just now starting my journey into wine making, and I wanted his family/friends to know that is knowledge will live on, and finding all of that equipment has really helped me out in my journey and just to say thank-you to whomever can receive my gratitude.

    Rest in peace Mr. Eubanks, and thank-you for being such an awesome person.

    I am deeply sorry to hear about the death of Brent, my Love in Berlin/ Germany. He was such a wonderful person.

    Ich bin erschrocken von Brents Tod zu erfahren. Er bleibt in guter Erinnerung. Er war ein wirklich lieber Mensch.

Losing Brent and Lisa is heartbreaking. They were blessed to have each other, the consolation, they remain together. They are loved, my prayers continue for their families in the weeks to come...

Prayers go out to the family. I knew Brent from high school, he lived a block or so away from us and we rode the bus together. We also had Algebra together and I sat behind him. He was always grabbing my ankles! I have such fond memories of Brent carrying out my groceries anytime I shopped at Market Basket in Port Neches. He had the most beautiful eyes and curly hair and sweet smile. He will be missed.
