Bruce Harrison

Bruce Julius “Joe” Harrison, 72, of Evadale, died Sunday, October 1, 2017. He was born on July 30, 1945, in Evadale, to Hallie Mae Gravis Harrison and Victory Harrison. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and later worked on tugboats as a deck hand.

Survivors include his children, Kimberly Williams of Lumberton; Philip Robertson of Houston; Theresa Goins and her husband, P-We, of Buna; and Jody Mendoza of Evadale; grandchildren, Devin Phelps, Kayla Phelps; Blaine Robertson, Bria Robertson, Tristan Goins, Zander Winfrey, and Savanah Winfrey; several great-grandchildren; and brother, Doug Jones and his wife, Billie Jo, of Buna.. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Cornell; brothers, Vic Harrison, Weldon Jones, and Iris Jones; and sister, Mary Nell England.

A gathering of Joe’s family and friends will be 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at Joe’s residence, 181 CR 885, Buna, with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at North End United Pentecostal Church, Evadale, Wednesday, October 4, 2017. His interment will follow at Morse Cemetery, Buna.
