Chad Strange

February 10, 1968 - March 9, 2019

Chad Michael Strange, 51, of Buna, died Saturday, March 9, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 10, 1968, in Port Arthur, to Roxie Munlin Strange and Michael “Mickey” Strange. Chad worked as a Senior Process Technician for BASF in Port Arthur.

As a child, Chad enjoyed sports, hunting with his dad, brother, uncles, and cousins, and loved the outdoors. Chad was a kind, caring, consistent man who always had a smile on his face. He provided well for his family and was a friend to all. Chad loved his family, his job and lived life to the fullest. Often having cleaver ideas and fixes, he always thought of others before himself. Chad’s love for the outdoors followed into adulthood as he was proud of his RV and enjoyed camping trips with his wife, Rachel, and their two dogs. Throughout life’s difficulties, Chad lived his life demonstrating what God’s word describes as true love, kindness, and compassion. He did his job at BASF as unto the Lord, loved his wife as Christ loves the church; was a wonderful father to his daughters, sons, and loved his grandchildren; and treated others as he wanted to be treated. During his battle with cancer, he is quoted as saying, “There is only one true God, and He alone can do anything.”  Chad was a member of Central Baptist Church of Buna and drew strength from his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Steele Strange; children, Kassidie Strange of Plano, Kasie Strange of Beaumont, Billy Carroll, of Nederland, and Benjamin Steele of Beaumont; grandchildren, Landon Kosh of Buna and Brooklyn Steele of Kountze; parents, Roxie and Michael “Mickey” Strange of Buna; brother, Troy Strange and his wife, Wendy, of League City; and numerous nieces and nephews. Chad is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gladys and Robert Strange and Rose and Audis Munlin.

A gathering of Chad’s family and friends will be 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Central Baptist Church, 33814 US Highway 96 South, Buna, with his interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.

Revelation 21 verses 3&4 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! the tent of God is with mankind and he will reside with them and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." This prophetic vision gives this promise for the worldwide earth. God's Kingdom will bring out these changes on the earth as Jesus as our King, To learn more please visit jw.org
