Christopher Karaff

October 7, 1963 - May 23, 2018

Christopher David Karaff went to walk with his Father on May 23, 2018. He was born on October 7, 1963, in Orange, to Betty Jo and Dale Karaff. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor and was currently residing in Mauriceville.

In his youth, he was a center on the Vidor Pirates Junior Varsity and Varsity football teams and he played first base when he participated in Vidor Little League. Not many knew that he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 220. Chris was a fierce friend to all that knew him and gave his life to God with the promise to help others. A promise he kept throughout his life. He has truly left behind a huge group of “family”. Chris never met a stranger. He loved life and had the gift of listening and making everyone around him feel like they had known him forever. He was an employee of J.V. Industrial Companies and traveled extensively across the country working the plants, which he truly loved.

Survivors include his brothers, Keith Karaff and his spouse, Michael Mayorga of Magnolia and Kevin Karaff and his wife, Lynn of Richmond; nephews, Kolby Karaff and Karson Karaff, both of Richmond; and his fur baby, Sally Susu. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Karaff’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Broussard’s, with his interment following at Haven of Rest, Beaumont.

Chris was always happy no matter the situation, and Turnarounds will not be the same without him. God must have had some exchanger bundles he needed pulled and I couldn’t think of a better hand to do the job! Rest In Peace my brother.
