Don Owen Melton

June 19, 1956 - June 13, 2021

Don Owen Melton, 64, of Bridge City, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont, He was born on June 19, 1956, in Fort Worth, to Sherry Ann Spivey Melton and Allen G. Melton. Don was a lab technician for Evonik Degussa Engineered Carbons Black.

He is survived by his wife of forty-five years to the day he passed, Donna Melton; son, Chris Melton and his wife, Ashley, of Vidor; grandchildren, Madyson Melton and her fiancé, Justin Veitch; Mallorie Melton; Layla Lamb; and Dustin Melton; and siblings, Susan Tibbits and her husband, Doug, of McCloud, Oklahoma and Elizabeth Martin. Don is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Melton’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Holland Cemetery, Kountze.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Red Oaks Springs, P.O. Box 2019, Kountze, Texas 77625.
