Felix “FeFe” Ramirez, Jr.

July 24, 1965 - September 5, 2019

Felix “FeFe” Robert Ramirez, Jr., 54, of Nederland, died Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born July 24, 1965, in Port Arthur, to Olivia Ann Gutierrez Ramirez and Felix Robert Ramirez, Sr.

FeFe loved to dance and was always smiling. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting FeFe would agree that his character was both infectious and genuine. He loved chips and queso, cake, and ice cream, and his dear friends and family knew to never take his plate away because of this. He enjoyed being around family, even if it meant doing something as simple as watching TV or looking at comics together. In his past ten years, he looked forward to visiting his beloved brother, Robert (who he called “Bobby”) and his family, in Austin. He spent a significant portion of his life in his group home, St. Giles Living Center in Beaumont, Texas, where he delighted in spending time with Donetta Richard, who he referred to as “Miss Netta”, Bernadette Williams, and all of his other amazing registered nurses, workshop staff, and special friends at North House. He lived a long and blessed life and was a source of warmth and light to everyone around him. Our Angel on earth has found peace at last with our Savior and Heavenly Father.

FeFe is survived by his parents Olivia and Felix Ramirez; brother, Robert Dwayne Ramirez and his wife, Tricia, of Austin; sister, Becky Ramirez Smith and her husband, James, of Houston; nieces and nephews, Jessica Michelle Ramirez; Anthony Christopher Ramirez; Nicole Marie Ramirez; Halie Ramirez Davis; Laynie Michelle Smith; and Abbie Lee Smith; close cousins, Luci Bailey and her husband, Jay; Elizabeth Huebel and her husband, Chris; Justin Bailey; Connor Bailey; and Andrew Huebel.

Pallbearers include Nicole Marie Ramirez, Luci Bailey, Elizabeth Huebel, Justin Bailey, Tricia Gaye Ramirez, Robert Dwayne Ramirez, James Smith, Anthony Christopher Ramirez, and Jessica Michelle Ramirez.

A gathering of FeFe’s treasured family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Immaculate Conception – St. Peter the Apostle Parish, 4100 Lincoln Avenue, Groves. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A reception will be at Broussard’s Centre, 1775 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, following the service at the cemetery.
