Harold Ray Guidry
Harold Ray Guidry, 79, of Beaumont, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was born on August 6, 1941, to Effie Weeks Guidry and Eugene I. Guidry, and was a lifetime resident of Beaumont. He retired after owning and operating ABC Machine Works, Inc. for 48 years. He was a United States Army Veteran, an avid hunter, Dallas Cowboys fan, machinist, drag race enthusiast, South Park Greenie, and enjoyed restoring classic cars. Most of all, he was a loving father and grandfather, always available to fix things or give directions to others, selfless, never left a job unfinished, always available to offer a kind word and assist others in need. Harold was a man of good character and loved with his whole heart. He touched the lives of so many.
Survivors include his daughters, Lori Ann Lawhon and husband, Duane Lawhon, of Vidor; Dawn Sterling and husband, Michael Sterling, of Lumberton; Amber Rhoades and husband, Russell Rhoades, of League City; and son, Tracy Lyons of Galveston; grandchildren, Alexa, Zachary, Collin, Samuel, Eli, and Jace Lyons, Krystle Lawhon Downs and husband, Virgil Downs, Jr., and Olivia and Piper Rhoades; and great-grandchildren, Kenedee Richard and Kaden Richard of Vidor; longtime partner, Yvonne Bryan; and many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Effie Guidry; wife, Charlotte Ray Guidry; brother, Billy Guidry; granddaughters, Lisa Marie Lawhon; Courtney Ray Sterling, and Connely Sterling Burns and great-grandson, Tyson Burns.
A gathering of Mr. Guidry’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with his memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.

I knew Harold from the time we were in grade school. He was a man that could do and fix anything. He loved his family and all his many friends, he would do anything for you. I will miss this man but have many good memories for a one of a kind person. R.I.P. my friend.
