Harry Moore

August 9, 1941 - November 4, 2018

Harry Eugene Moore, 77, of Beaumont, died Sunday, November 4, 2018. He was born on August 9, 1941, in Port Arthur, to Maxine and Walter Moore.

Harry graduated from Thomas-Jefferson High School in 1959. He joined the United States Navy in December of 1959, where he served on the USS Independence for two years as an aviation storekeeper. Harry later attended Lamar Technology where he earned his associate degree in drafting. He was a Purchasing Manager with ExxonMobil and retired in 2003 at the age of 62.

He began to scuba dive anywhere there was water, mostly Florida, Mexico, Belize, and Cozumel, to name a few. Harry loved to golf with his father-in-law and brother-in-law, Bill. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved the outdoors.

Harry never lost faith that God has been and will always be his Healer. He enjoyed food of all kinds to the fullest and is an avid iPad game player.

Harry was thankful he lived to see his children marry and have children of their own. He is truly a proud father and grandfather!

We are so sorry for your loss but can only imagine the joy Harry is experiencing right now in heaven. He loved Jesus and loved His Word. Harry was man who was ready for anything, even his home going. Thank you Harry and Joy for the many years of friendship and the many evenings spent together studying, laughing and (of course!) eating together. Many of our precious old cell group members are in heaven now and it won't be long until we are all together again for an eternity of praising our risen Savior. What a glorious day that will be! Thank you for being such wonderful friends. We are going to miss you buddy!
