Helen “Tootie Girl” “MawMaw” Marie Heiner, 85, of Beaumont, died Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on December 4, 1933, in Beaumont, to Mary and Vic Daberkow. She had been a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church, Beaumont. She was baptized on December 24, 1933, and reaffirmed her faith through Confirmation on March 30, 1947, and married Bill Heiner on January 1, 1952, all at St. John Lutheran Church. Bill and Helen were married forty-three years. Her life was centered around her family and her church, and most importantly she was “Mom” and “MawMaw”.

Helen is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Proft and her husband, Frank; brother, Victor Daberkow, Jr.; sister-in-law, Mary Bauer; children, Billy Heiner and his wife, Chris; Danny Heiner; Kathryn Erickson and her husband, Ernie; and John Heiner and his wife, Regina; fourteen grandchildren, Jeremy Heiner and his wife, Christa; Joshua Heiner; Rebecca Ferguson and her husband, Neal; Justin Heiner; Amy Perkins and her husband, Justin; and Matt Heiner and his wife, Amanda; Kyle Erickson and his wife, Angela; Bryan Heiner and his wife, Stephanie; Kimberly Ou and her husband, Sokunthea; Candice Simonson and her husband, Ryan; Karen Nall and her husband, Coy; Sarah Reus and her husband, Nelson; Jacob Heiner; and Zachary Heiner; seventeen great-grandchildren, Will, Cate, and Lila Heiner; Wiley, Ayelet, and Witten Reus; Luke and Scarlet Heiner; Annalisa, David, Sophia, and Lucy Erickson; Audrey Ferguson; Douglas and Lillian Nall; Liam Ou; and Abigail Perkins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Heiner; and parents. Mary and Vic Daberkow.

A gathering of Mrs. Heiner’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at St. John Lutheran Church, 2955 South Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

Condolences for Mrs. Heiner's passing. She was a very sweet lady, smiling all the time. We know she will be missed. Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend the services as we are out of town.
