Keith Allen Brist

Keith Allen Brist, 76, of Winnie, died Monday, January 7, 2019. He was born on July 29, 1942, in Port Arthur, to Elizabeth Irene Hicks Brist and Dewey Allen Brist. Keith enjoyed horses, antique trucks, and was very patriotic.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Linda Brist, of Winnie; daughter, Phoebe Brist Meguess and her husband, Ricky, of Highlands; son, Clint A. Brist and his wife, Stephanie, of Winnie; grandchildren, Afton Meguess Dickson and her husband, Robby; Lauren Meguess Davis and her husband, Aaron; Brock Lavergne and his wife, Carli; Cody A Brist; Kaleb Lavergne; and Brianna K Brist and her fiancé, Phil; great-grandchildren, Brooks Dickson; Brax Dickson; Ava Davis; and Charlee Lavergne; sister, Virginia Amburn, of Nederland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Dewey Allen Brist II.

A gathering of Mr. Brist’s family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2019, at First United Methodist Church, 1708 Highway 124, Winnie, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer, Winnie. There will be a gathering celebrating his life following the service at the family center. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
