Dale Cooper

Kenneth “Dale” Cooper, 60, of Nederland, died peacefully at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center on Sunday, September 3, 2017. He was born on December 19, 1956, in Port Arthur, to Lucille Elizabeth England Cooper and Thomas William Cooper.

Dale worked as a machinist at I-Corp, Inc. for twenty-five years. He enjoyed woodworking and was a handyman to the point of perfection; he could do anything. Dale will be remembered for his clever mind and quick wit.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-one years, Ginger Cooper, of Nederland; daughter, Leah Vara and her husband, Manny, of Nederland; granddaughter, Kasey Vara; father, Thomas Cooper of Nederland; brother, Rendall Cooper and his wife, Judy, of Nederland; sister, Marlinda Odom and her husband, Dale, of Silsbee; and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Cooper.

Memorial contributions for Mr. Cooper may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030.

A gathering of Mr. Cooper’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Broussard’s, with his entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

    Prayers for all of Dale's family, Out of his 25 years at I-corp I was a witness to his first-class ability for 21 of those years! Those will be some pretty big shoes to fill. God has big plans for you, fly high brother!
