Linda Kay Winstanley

May 15, 1950 - April 3, 2021

Linda Kay Winstanley passed away on April 3, 2021. Ms. Winstanley was born on May 15, 1950, to Betty Flanagan Winstanley and Thomas Jerome Winstanley, in Beaumont, where she grew up and graduated from Forest Park High School in 1968. During her childhood and teenage years, she was an active member of Roberts Avenue United Methodist Church. Linda loved dance and music and took piano lessons, ballet, and toe classes. She was an active member of the Melody Maids for many years and served as a Candy Striper.

Linda attended Tyler Junior College and later moved to Houston where she lived for many years and was employed by St Luke’s Hospital, Texaco and the Houston Police Department. She relocated to Beaumont in 2004 and to Brenham in 2012 where she was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Although she encountered many health concerns since childhood, she faced them with an unwavering faith and was determined to overcome them. Through all her troubles and pain, Linda never wavered from her positive spirit and strong will. She was the family’s “energizer bunny”, who despite her challenges, always overcame the odds against her.

Linda was a devoted daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Kathy Campbell and her husband, Gary, of Brenham; nephew, Jason Campbell and Brooke, of Carrolton; niece, Bonnie Campbell, Red, and her children, Autrie and Attikus, of Brenham; and nephew, Jacob Campbell, wife Leah, and sons, Dylan and Logan of Wylie. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
