Lynda Neff

August 19, 1949 - May 10, 2019

Lynda Elizabeth Neff, 69, of Beaumont, passed Friday, May 10, 2019. She was born on August 19, 1949, to Velma “VZ” Butler Zoch and Paul Jack Zoch, in Beaumont.

Lynda was and will forever be the catalyst her family centered around. Her adventurous free-spirit and love for travel, even later in life, was something that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Even in the wake of tragedy, Lynda always brought humor to every situation. She cared for everyone as though they were her family and treated her employees as her own. Her strong will and determination carried her through life and was something to be admired. Lynda was the matriarch of a family that reflects her beautiful nature. She will be missed dearly by the many lives she touched and all that knew her.

She was a spitfire and valued family togetherness above all else.

Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-four years, Tim Neff; she was the caring mother of one daughter, Tammie Neff; and two sons, Tim Jr. and Donald Neff; grandmother of Cortney Neff, Doug Neff, Brittany Wright, Ashley Chopane, Kaitlyn Carter, and Emma “EJ” Neff; and great-grandmother of eleven great-grandchildren; survivors also include her brother, Stewart Zoch and his wife, Sherry, of Spurger; sister, Sheila Hummel and her husband, John; and brother, Hans Zoch and his wife, Holly, all of Beaumont.

A gathering of Mrs. Neff’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Broussard’s. Her interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Six Miles, Texas.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or The Humane Society of Southeast Texas, P.O. Box 1629, Beaumont, Texas 77704.

Oh the memories Jim and I shared with Tim & Lynda. Never a dull moment with Lynda and always kept me laughing. Especially the Chili Cook-off...OMG that was a memory that will stay with me forever. RIP dear Lynda. Find Jim and together maybe you can keep each other out of trouble. Praying for all the Neff family. Love to all.

Linda Zoch Neff was a family friend from many years back. Her Mom Velma and Dad Jack Zoch were great friends with my family and both are buried very close to mine at Forest Lawn. May God wrap his arms around your family and hold you close in this time of sorrow.

Prayers to all of your family on the Loss of Lynda. Jack and Velma were best friends w/my family and we spent many hours at their home and on the racing circuit in Beaumont and Houston back in the 50's. Lynda was definitely a go getter back then along w/Stewart. Have lots of good memories of all of them. Continued prayers for the family.
