Marion Ruth Phelps

Marion Ruth Phelps, 80, of Beaumont, died Sunday, March 28, 2021. She was born on August 26, 1940, Lovey Lucille Wilks Bingham and James Bingham, in Mesa, Arizona. Marion was passionate about church and reading her bible.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Wilkinson of Beaumont; sons, William Phelps; Jerry Phelps and his wife, Marty; and John Phelps and his wife, Sandra Phelps, all of Winnie; Danny Phelps and his wife, Rene of Woodville; and Michael Phelps of Winnie; stepdaughters, Kathy Smith and Cynthia Cox and stepson, Roy Phelps, all of Magnolia, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Franklin of Kansas and Lena Bingham of California; and brother, Bobby Bingham of Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerald Phelps; brothers, Perry Bingham, Terry Bingham, William Bingham, and Charles Bingham; and sister, Claudia Ashbrook.

A gathering of Mrs. Phelps’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2021, at Calvary Tabernacle, Winnie. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Calvary Tabernacle, 1210 FM 1406, Winnie. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
