Michael Oliver Mitchell
Michael Oliver Mitchell, 65, of Kountze, died Thursday, July 23, 2020. He was born on April 20, 1955 to Martha Ann Boudreaux Mitchell and Raymond Oliver Mitchell, in Beaumont. Michael graduated high school from Forest Park and went on to play football, track, and field at Lamar University. He was an avid hunter and lived to help others.
Survivors include his wife, Teri Mitchell of Kountze; mother, Ann Mitchell of Beaumont; daughters, Nikki Mitchell of Houston, Amanda Mitchell of Kountze, and Lauren Woodward of Kountze; granddaughter, Hailey Mitchell of Beaumont; brother, Buddy Mitchell; sister, Rebecca Mitchell, both of Beaumont; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold Core and Ginney Core; brothers-in-law, Bobby Core; Donnie Core and his wife, Denise; Hal Walker; Steve Walker; Pat Core; and Eric Malnassey and his wife, Misty; and his beloved cat, Lucky.
A family committal for Mr. Mitchell was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
