Mildred Berlin

August 10, 1923 - December 31, 2018

Mildred Berlin, 95, of Beaumont, died on Monday, December 31, 2018. She was born on August 10, 1923, in Montgomery County, Tennessee, to Annie Gertrude Davidson Suiter and Homer Suiter. 

In her spare time, Mildred enjoyed gardening and home cooking. She was a faithful member of North End Baptist Church and enjoyed church outings. Mildred worked as a switch board operator for St. Elizabeth Hospital. 

Survivors include son-in-law, Thomas Lorenz of Fulshear; grandson, Patrick Lorenz and his wife, Vernisa, of Porter; granddaughters, Genie Graham of Breckenridge, Texas and Glenda Merritt and her husband, Sean, of Fayetteville, Texas; great-grandchildren, Joseph Lorenz, Haley Graham, and Mason Merritt; brother, Aubrey Suiter of Springfield, Tennessee; and sister, Rebecca Aldredge.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willard Grant and Cerry Claude “C.C.” Berlin; daughter, Carolyn Lorenz; brother, Homer Suiter; sisters, Mabel Walker, Thelma Haley, Blanate Mayo, and Ann Lou Stinson; and brother, Baby Boy Suiter. 

A gathering of Mrs. Berlin’s family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
