Pauline "Sissy" Barnett

November 4, 1949 - April 29, 2021

Pauline “Sissy” Barnett, 71, of Bridge City, died Thursday, April 29, 2021. She was born on November 4, 1949, in Sour Lake, to Dorothy Maddox Barnett and Clyde Paul Barnett.

Pauline was a 1968 graduate of Hardin-Jefferson High School, Sour Lake. She worked at numerous local retail stores, and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cake decorating, sewing, and baking. Pauline was also a huge lover of animals.

Survivors include her twin sisters, Sherry Barnett-Cox and her husband, Mark; and Sharon Sanders and her husband, Butch; nieces, Amy Cox-Huff and her husband, Jeremy and Anne Cox-Etie; nephew, Blake Sanders; nieces, Amy Sanders Fuller and her husband, Josh and Elizabeth Sanders; great-nieces and nephews, Logan, Riley, Madie, Nolan, Jaxson, Brent, Aiden, Cara, and Katy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Dot Barnett; twin sister, Paulette “Sissy” Barnett; and nephew, Roy Etie.

A gathering of Ms. Barnett’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at China Cemetery, China. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Sanders; Josh Fuller; Billy Barnett; Richard Cox; Tray Cox; and Layne Cox.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 7670 Woodway Drive, UNIT 230, Houston, Texas 77063.
