I'm so sorry to hear of Roy's passing. I spent many days with the Hester family and grew up at their house as a child. Many Summers were spent "on the farm" fishing under Roy's guidance and many bowls of peaches and Half & Half later, I find myself heartbroken over this loss. He will be sorely missed. May the Lord Guide You and Keep You in this difficult time. Love, Shannon

Marie, I just recently met someone with the last name of Hester and it brought you to mind of what a wonderful lady you were to work for and with so many, many years ago at Helena Labs. Then today I saw this obituary of your husband. I am so sorry for your loss! You were blessed with so many wonderful years together and more memories than you can count no doubt. I'm thankful that God has brought you back to my memory so that I can now remember you in my prayers. Carol

It was my great luck to work with Roy for five years at GSU in the Tax Department. He was a genuinely nice person, and always fun and good to work with. I find myself smiling when I remember how thrilled he was when he and Marie were blessed by the birth of their daughter. He was over the moon with joy. I know he will be so missed by those loved ones left behind. My condolences to all of them and I am celebrating a life well lived.
