Ruth Bertrand

Ruth Mary McPherson Bertrand, 93, of Groves, died on Saturday, May 19, 2018. She was born on September 9, 1924, in Edmonton/Borough of London, England, to Florence Owen and Horace Flowers.

Survivors include her children, Carol Beard and her husband, George “Skip” Beard; William Paul McPherson and his wife, Suzette McPherson; Madaline McPherson LeBlanc; Judy Miller and her husband, Jeff Miller; and Michael McPherson and his wife, Stephanie Mcpherson; grandchildren, Jeff Beard, Brandy Neto, Brandon McPherson, Jessie McPherson, Justin McPherson, Zachary LaBarge, Zena Scott, Zane LaBarge, Zarron LaBarge, Zerick LaBarge, Zadrianne Utterback, Jeff (JJ) Miller, Jennifer Summers, Jamie Miller, Jarrod Miller, Gary Michael McPherson; great-grandchildren, Colton Beard, Delaney Beard, Sebastian Neto, Breanna Ross, Kaitlyn McPherson, Kayla LaBarge Wright, Koutrney Landry, Kacie Landry, Ann Marie LaBarge, Aiden LaBarge, Julia LaBarge, Jaylen LaBarge, Hunter LaBarge, Harleigh LaBarge, Hennasey LaBarge, Justin Utterback, Jessica Utterback, Jude Utterback, Jeffery Colon, Jonathon Summers, Grant Summers, Alexis Baker, Austin Baker, Caleb Miller, Nevaeh McPherson, Makensie McPherson; and great- great-grandchildren, Chloe Wright and Callie Wright.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucius William McPherson.

A private family committal for Mrs. Bertrand was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
