Michael Stephen Moody

Michael Stephen “Steve” Moody, 65, of Kountze, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021.  He was born on November 8, 1955, in Spring, to Margie Craft Moody and Dan Moody.  Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He was a truck driver for Triple S and enjoyed fishing and working on his boat. Steve will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and Paw Paw, and “Monkey”.

Survivors include his wife of thirteen years, Jheri Moody; daughters, Lacy Robison and her husband, Macey, and Patience Cowart and her husband, Seth, all of Kountze; Kirsten Ingram and her husband, Gage, of Liberty; and Abbie Coplen of Kountze; sons, Cody Moody and his girlfriend, Victoria, of Lumberton; Dustin Moody of Houston; and Zebastion Moody of Kountze; grandchildren, Harley and her husband, Zamean, Paul, Kari, Sjohn, Kya, Hudson, and Maverick; great-grandson, Archer; brothers, Larry Moody and his wife, Linda, of Rusk; and Danny Moody and his wife, Donna, and William Moody and his wife, Barbara, all of Kountze; sister, Kayla Carter of College Station; mother-in-law, Rhonda Thrasher of Kountze; and will be especially missed by his faithful canine companion, Reesie.  He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, James Madison and Gladys Craft; and father-in-law, Chris Thrasher.

Mr. Moody’s gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at William Hart Cemetery, Kountze.
