Vivian Walker McBride

Vivian Walker McBride, 92, of Beaumont, died Monday, November 25, 2019, at Lenrose Place, Beaumont. She was born on November 14, 1927, to Ellen Hayes Walker and Ralph Cecil Walker, in Hayes, Louisiana.

Survivors include her daughter, Vickey Gaulding and her husband, John, of Winnie; son, Ralph McBride and his wife, Cynthia, of Orange; daughters, Mary Ellen Robertson and her husband, Denny, of Beaumont and Ann McLemore and her husband, Steve, Round Rock; grandchildren, John Alan Gaulding, Christopher Gaulding, Carissa Williams, Kyle McBride, Annie Robertson LeBlanc, Erin Reho Pelias, Jody Reho, Suzann McLemore-Soto, Vickey Caccavo, Steven McLemore, and Lisa Bernstein; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, Reverend Ernest Walker of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and sister, Florence Becker of Lancaster, California.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Vandra McBride.

A gathering of Mrs. McBride’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2019, at First United Methodist Church, 1708 Highway 124, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church-Imelda Recovery Fund, P.O. Box 1570, Winnie, Texas 77665.

    Just learned to your mother's. of your passing. She raised her children whom are well known in Chambers and Jefferson Counties. Please send my condolences to her family. I rememberances to her childrens and to honor. She was a disciple for God who Himself has honored her life.

    I am so sorry, I loved her very much. One of the sweetest, loving and caring people I have ever known, I have missed her so much . She also made the only okra gumbo I would eat. Such a precious lady. A wonderful friend to mom and I not to mention numerous others.

    We remember Vivian as a patient in my office in Port Arthur, and we extend our sincerest condolences to the family, especially our dear friend, Mary Ellen Robertson, whom we know took very good care of her for many years and was a wonderful daughter.. To a life long and well-lived!
