William "Hawk" Wanca

November 14, 1933 - September 21, 2020

William “Hawk” Wanca, 86, of Beaumont, died Monday, September 21, 2020. He was born on November 14, 1933, in New York, New York, to Marie and Frank Wanca. Hawk was a United States Air Force veteran.

He loved to golf, fish, and hunt.

Hawk is survived by his wife of twenty years, Sherry Wanca; sons, Mark Wanca and his wife, Shana and Thomas Wanca, all of Beaumont; grandson, Billy Wanca and his wife, Heather, of Port Neches; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Wanca of Beaumont; great-granddaughters, Kynlee Wanca, of Port Neches and Rachel Wanca, of Vidor; stepdaughters, Marcie Morgan and Paige Morgan, both of Beaumont; step-granddaughter, Athena Morgan, of Beaumont; and sister, Marion Jaeger, of New Jersey.

Hawk is preceded in death by his son, William “Bill” Wanca; parents, Marie and Frank Wanca; and his first wife, Delores Wanca.

A gathering of Mr. Wanca’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 28, 2020, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

So sorry for your loss, prayers for you and family. My Grandfather Joseph Wanca was Frank Wanca brother.. It has been many years , last time I saw Bill was in Avanel New Jersey. At Aunt Marie and Uncle Frank’s. My Grandmother was Dora Wanca.. From Bayonne NJ, her good friend was Mrs Petrin of Bayonne.
