Yvonne Marie LeBlanc Honsberger

May 26, 1942 - January 31, 2021

Yvonne Marie LeBlanc Honsberger, 78, of Beaumont, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on May 26, 1942, to Beatrix Hitter LeBlanc and Albert Joseph LeBlanc, Sr., in Port Arthur.

Yvonne was a woman who loved life and cherished her family and friends dearly. She was a devout Catholic. Her strong faith is what carried her through many times in her life. She had a fighting spirit and nothing kept her from living life to the fullest.

In 1980, she married the love of her life, George. A blended family was made, and she took it upon herself to always make sure every child was included and loved. She was a very generous and kind lady. She loved all of her children, but the most joy and happiness came from her grandchildren.

She loved to be in the kitchen. Cooking was one of her best ways to show you that she loved you. We could always count on holidays at her house with the best home cooked meals. When the weather was pretty, you would be sure to find her buying plants or working in her garden. Being out in her backyard and enjoying nature was one of her favorite pass times. She absolutely loved birds and had a special fondness for red birds. If you know the story of the Cardinal, she is now our special one.

Survivors include her son, John David Guillory and his wife, Tonya, of Alpharetta, Georgia; daughters, Debby Moon and her husband, Joey and Kathryn Messina and her husband, Brent, all of Beaumont; son, Von Honsberger and his wife, Stephanie, of Missouri City; daughter, Kristen Broussard and her husband, Eric, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Eric Honsberger and his wife, Katy, of San Antonio; Evan Honsberger and his wife, Jamie, of Richmond; Alison Wagstaff and her husband, Kyle, of Beaumont; Elyse Broussard, Zachary Moon, Zoey Moon, and Caroline Messina, all of Beaumont; and Lily Guillory of Alpharetta, Georgia; great-granddaughter, Ruby Honsberger; brother, Albert J. LeBlanc, of Lafayette, Louisiana; and beloved granddog, Lola.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Honsberger; daughter, Anne Marie Honsberger and brother, Max John LeBlanc.

A gathering of Yvonne’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2021, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont. My thoughts and prayers for all of Yvonne's family at this very sad time. Yvonne was like a big sister to me and I always looked up to her and always wanted to spend as much time as I could with her. I have so many fond memories that I will always treasure. I hope her family will have beautiful memories of Yvonne that will help bring them some comfort. My heart breaks for them. I loved her so very much. (Marian Hitter Giusti - first cousin)

Yvonne will be remembered for the caring and involved people person she always was.....never missing an opportunity to ask about you and your family and the goings on in their lives. She always greeted you with a smile and conversation about your family and loved ones....and offering news about her family and their lives......effectively keeping the family connections up to date and healthy while instilling the broader sense of your part in the larger family we all share. Her laugh, which she broke into quite often..., put you at ease and insured you would be in good spirits for the rest of your day. We will miss our times with her......knowing full well she is peacefully content....and that we will share a laugh and such again....God bless and keep you Yvonne.

I remember the kindness I always saw in Aunt Yvonne. She would welcome me over to play dolls with Kathryn, and of course feed us and made me feel so welcomed. I saw her last at our cousin’s wedding and I had the joy of sitting next to her. I enjoyed her wit and poise and warmth. She exuded strength and kindness at the same time. It was a relative I’ll hold dear. All who knew her were blessed to have known her. God bless her family and friends. We all have our visits from our cardinals, and I’m sure she will check on everyone often ❤️
